We are looking for Director of Facilities for Dublin area

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Manage key client relationships across all sectors, including a deep understanding of PPP/PFI contracts.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client account’s critical requirements and challenges, creating supporting strategies to address them.
  • Ensure high-quality communication and reporting both internally and externally.
  • Lead negotiation and pricing activities for major contracts and tenders..
  •  Identify opportunities within the existing client base to drive retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Provide strategic leadership to Directors and operational teams, ensuring effective management of cost centres.
  • Identify, develop, and implement necessary internal and external policies, procedures, and terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, Health & Safety regulations, and all relevant company legislation.
  • Drive operational efficiency by implementing streamlined work methods, innovative solutions, and high-performance work practices.
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for FM Ireland operations in partnership with the commercial team.
  • Prepare annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports to the Financial Controller on project progress and financial status.
  •  Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction within the FM business.
  • Ensure delivery on ambitious sales, revenue, and performance targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and set direction for Facility Management teams.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews within the division.
  • Partner with HR on recruitment, employee relations, and other HR-related matters as required.
  • Drive training, development, and succession planning initiatives to strengthen team capability and future-readiness.
  • Develop effective governance structures and ensure clear communication channels across operational teams.

 

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Recognised 3rd level or Engineering qualification essential.
  • Minimum of 4 years managing PPP projects essential.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Facility Management industry.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience of managing director level employees.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience of managing cost centres.
  • Experience in formulating the business case and forming a successful cost centre.
  • Experience in delivering M&A integration across multiple departments.
  • To have effectively bid and won a domestic IRL contract and expanded it into multi jurisdiction ICC contract. Experience in bidding and delivering multi-country tenders.
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite.
  •  Full clean driving licence.
