Engineering Supervisor
Location – London Wall, EC2Y
Hours – Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
We are currently seeking an Engineering Supervisor to manage day to day operations and work closely with our client and on-site team. In this role you will have full responsibility of all Statutory, Non-Statutory, Remedial and reactive tasks and report back to Contract Manager on a weekly basis. You will Supervise and perform maintenance activities, ensuring maximum efficiency of the workforce & minimum services downtime; identifying and reporting any electrical/engineering issues or faults which will have a detrimental effect on the building environment.
As supervisor, you will act as our Client’s Representative in the management of maintenance and specialist contractors whilst liaising with customers, study & analysing their requirements, advice upon available options & provide ‘consultancy’ services support. As part of this role you will be expected to partake in the site and call out rota as required.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- City and Guilds Level 2/3 qualification - Mechanical or Electrical
- IPAF (Site Dependant) & PASMA (desirable)
- Experience of building services systems, maintenance management, contractual procedures, and health & safety compliance.
- Experience of leading a technical team and deputising for the Contract Manager.
- Experience of planning strategic delivery.
- Experience of working with stakeholders at different levels throughout the business.
- Demonstrate understanding of Health and Safety policy/legislation and all direct and indirect.
- statutory/mandatory standards.
- Experience of development, implementation, and review of service improvement objectives.
We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level. He has now been working as an in-house technician at Apleona for seven years and, with great dedication, ensures that the systems run smoothly. Whether it's maintenance, repairs or solving unexpected problems, Patrick is always on hand to keep everything running. What does he particularly like about Apleona? The strong team spirit. For him, spontaneity is part of the job, just like the regular exchanges with colleagues from other departments, which constantly give him fresh inspiration. Patrick stays active in his spare time too, though not with tools, but with a green thumb. His garden is his personal oasis, where he enjoys every spare minute in the fresh air. Passion meets success!
Since June 2023, he has been supporting one of our largest client sites in Berlin as a project coordinator. Tim originally joined us through a temporary employment agency as a plant mechanic. But it soon became clear: he was a permanent fixture in the team! "The friendly atmosphere and professional camaraderie won me over straight away," he says. Today, he is taking on more and more responsibility and is also working towards his master craftsman's qualification. Tim embodies what Apleona is all about: team spirit, commitment and the desire to develop further.
