In this role as Building Fabric Technician / Handyperson, you will undertake the planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises. The Fabric Technician / Handyperson will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are adhered to at all times. Be professional and readily interacting with our client / tenants as required.
As our Building Fabric Technician / Handyperson, you will Install, maintain and repair fabric systems and components and installing and maintaining a host of different fabric aspects and on occasions assisting with other duties including plumbing PPM and reactive tasks. You will also be diagnosing and correcting problems; selecting appropriate materials and provide advice to clients, contractors and other professionals. You must have basic knowledge of either plumbing or carpentry
Our Ideal candidate will need to have:
- Recognised industry qualifications, equivalent training programme in either mechanical / plumbing / carpentry. Or previous experience in a similar role.
- Broad knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management and health and safety procedures.
- IT Literate.
- Valid UK Driving license
We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level. He has now been working as an in-house technician at Apleona for seven years and, with great dedication, ensures that the systems run smoothly. Whether it's maintenance, repairs or solving unexpected problems, Patrick is always on hand to keep everything running. What does he particularly like about Apleona? The strong team spirit. "We're a well-oiled team. When it matters, everyone can rely on one another." For him, spontaneity is part of the job, just like the regular exchanges with colleagues from other departments, which constantly give him fresh inspiration. Patrick stays active in his spare time too, though not with tools, but with a green thumb. His garden is his personal oasis, where he enjoys every spare minute in the fresh air. His property in Berlin and his work at Apleona? Highly recommended!
Passion meets success!
Since June 2023, he has been supporting one of our largest client sites in Berlin as a project coordinator. Tim originally joined us through a temporary employment agency as a plant mechanic. But it soon became clear: he was a permanent fixture in the team! "The friendly atmosphere and professional camaraderie won me over straight away," he says. Today, he is taking on more and more responsibility and is also working towards his master craftsman's qualification. Tim embodies what Apleona is all about: team spirit, commitment and the desire to develop further.
