About the Role:
The School Janitor / Facilities Operative will work within FM team delivering a range of services to our clients. You will carry out a range of Hard, Soft and Grounds Maintenance services and this role is pivotal in ensuring that all or a combination of maintenance, compliance, and grounds tasks are completed. Ensure , repairs and maintenance are undertaken in accordance with agreed protocols & time frames.
The School Janitor will carry out tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure commercial requirements and quality of end to end service to user satisfaction, cost and timing are met. Working within a controlled H&S environment.
Role Criteria:
- Experience of working in Facilities Management type operation desired
- Good written & verbal communication skills. Numeracy skills.
- Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures.
- Able to use a PDA & basic desk top operation following training.
- Able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrates company values e.g. customer first.
- Full, current driving licence
- Able to work weekends on as part of a rota basis (enhanced over time rates paid)
We’ll make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience gained in a similar role, in a demanding, fast paced environment. You will work 40 hours per week but will need to be flexible to ensure service delivery at the highest level. Whether it's maintenance, repairs or solving unexpected problems, Patrick is always on hand to keep everything running. What does he particularly like about Apleona? The strong team spirit. "We're a well-oiled team. When it matters, everyone can rely on one another." For him, spontaneity is part of the job, just like the regular exchanges with colleagues from other departments, which constantly give him fresh inspiration. Patrick stays active in his spare time too, though not with tools, but with a green thumb. His garden is his personal oasis, where he enjoys every spare minute in the fresh air. His property in Berlin and his work at Apleona? Highly recommended!
Passion meets success!
Since June 2023, he has been supporting one of our largest client sites in Berlin as a project coordinator. Tim originally joined us through a temporary employment agency as a plant mechanic. But it soon became clear: he was a permanent fixture in the team! "The friendly atmosphere and professional camaraderie won me over straight away," he says. Today, he is taking on more and more responsibility and is also working towards his master craftsman's qualification. Tim embodies what Apleona is all about: team spirit, commitment and the desire to develop further.
