To support growth and expansion. Apleona are currently recruiting for a Multitasking Home Attendant to join our team in a residential setting in Clonakility, Co Cork
Working pattern: Monday- Sunday Variable 20 Hours Average
Main duties and responsibilities
▪ Provided full personal care support including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
▪ Assisted residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
▪ Offered emotional support, companionship, and reassurance.
▪ Supported residents with daily routines while promoting dignity and independence.
▪ Observed changes in residents’ health or behaviour and reported concerns promptly.
▪ Delivered and assisted with prescribed medication following care plans and safety procedures.
▪ Ensured correct medication timing and proper documentation where required.
▪ Maintained confidentiality and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
▪ Assisted with food preparation, cooking, and making supper.
▪ Served meals to residents in a hygienic and respectful manner.
▪ Followed food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
▪ Cleaned and maintained bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and all communal areas
▪ Ensured infection control and cleanliness standards were met.
▪ Assisted with laundry and waste management.
▪ Managed multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced care environment
▪ Worked independently and collaboratively with other staff.
▪ Maintained a safe, respectful, and supportive atmosphere always.
▪ Adhere to all Health and Safety site requirements
▪ Report any accidents, near misses or incidents
Qualifications and experience
▪ Strong care and support skills, QQL 5 min 2 modules
▪ Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
▪ Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude
▪ Knowledge of personal care, hygiene, and safety standards
▪ Reliable, flexible approach to working hours, rostering e.g. unsocial hours/shift work, night duty
▪ Garda vetting required
