Job Description:
Provide a continuum of care throughout the house, this includes all Sisters in the residence, assist with all clinic appointments where necessary.
- Promote the health, welfare, and social well-being of patients within our services
- Ensure that care is carried out in an empathetic and ethical manner and that the dignity and spiritual needs of the patient are respected
- Report and consult with senior nursing management on clinical issues as appropriate
- Maintain appropriate and accurate written nursing records
- Delegate to and supervise the work of other grades of staff within the remit of their role, as appropriate
- To provide and maintain effective, individualized nursing care
- Assist the Director of Nursing in storing, administering, and recording individual medication per policy and Nursing guidelines.
- To assist with any physical aspects of care, as and when required
- Ensure all complaints and incidents are recorded and reported to the Director of Nursing and Manager following the Company Policy.
- Works within the Scope of Practice as issued by An Bord Altranais.
Requirements:
- Register Nurse by An Bord Altranais
- RGN/ RMHN
- Experience in a similar role
- A good working knowledge of English
- Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
- Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
- Garda vetting is required.
