Sous Chef
Location – Runcorn, WA7 1NT
Hours – Monday – Friday, 06:30 to 15:00 (flexibility is required to cover the evening)

In this role you will prepare and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of food for the restaurant, café and events catering areas, ensuring that all staff adhere to health and safety compliance at all times.
As our sous chef you will consistently deliver good, attractive food, as well as managing the kitchen and catering in the absence of the head chef, as well as managing food purchase and storage. You will also assist in the creation of new menus including costings, and be willing to pitch in with a variety of tasks linked to your job in order to support your manager, your team and our client.
Our ideal candidate will need to have:
- City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery
- H&S and Food safety certificates and awareness of relevant legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in an ever changing, fast paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to get things done
- A strong team player
- Effective people management skills

You will work on a shift pattern and be paid an annual salary of up to £32,000, with access to Apleona employee benefits that will be available to you as soon as you start.
