At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team . We currently have an opening for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our facility in Dundalk, Co. Louth
Shift Pattern Monday - Sunday, 35 Hours per week
Main duties and responsibilities
- Ensures the smooth running of the site adhering to the Site Service Level Agreement and Services Specification
- To supervise and investigate the quality and standard of cleaning services provided at client sites and assist the Cleaning Manager
- To assist the Cleaning Manager in the supervision of the cleaning service staff, including the allocation of workloads, monitoring progress and performance,
- To assist in the undertaking of site cleaning audits determining work priorities, paying particular attention to productivity and quality control
- To control and monitor the correct use of appropriate cleaning materials and the use of cleaning equipment, arranging the repair or renewal of equipment and make recommendations to the Cleaning Manager
- To carry out stock checks on equipment and materials as required and to arrange/carry out the induction and ‘on the job’ training of the cleaning staff in accordance with relevant Apleona company practices
- To undertake in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager, recruitment of cleaning employees in accordance with relevant Apleona company practices
- To organise the provision of relief/ holiday cover for cleaning staff as required in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager
- To authorise, allocate, and record in conjunction with the Cleaning Manager cleaning staff absences
- Perform ad hoc duties and other related tasks as assigned by the Cleaning Manager
The successful candidate must also:
- Have excellent communication skills essential for professional discussion in meetings
- and for frequent liaison with all contract parties
- Have excellent organisational and management skills
- Be an efficient motivator and leader with good problem-solving skills
- Have flexibility required for the role
- Good work record
- Excellent computer literacy essential for administrative purposes
- Experience of using cleaning equipment

Ria is a service manager at Apleona and oversees a client site in Munich. There, she organises the deployment of cleaning staff, draws up cleaning schedules and carries out regular cleaning inspections – always with the aim of ensuring the highest quality and satisfied clients. She began her career at Apleona in operational cleaning and has progressed through dedication and further training. Today, she holds a qualification as a specialist in hygiene and cleaning management. For Ria, one thing is clear: a good service manager should be service-oriented, be there for the client – and keep a close eye on their team as well. What she particularly values at Apleona is that there are many entry opportunities and career paths – whether through apprenticeships or professional experience.
Cleanliness with a systematic approach & passion
Visnja has been working full-time at Apleona since 2016 and, with great dedication, ensures that meeting rooms, kitchens and toilets are clean and well-maintained every day. She joined the company on a recommendation and has stayed because she gets on well with the team, the working environment is modern, and she feels truly valued here.
She carries out her work reliably, in a structured manner and with an eye for detail. Even on stressful days, she remains calm and focused – a strength she particularly values. She finds balance in nature, whilst walking in the woods or by the lake.
