We are currently recruiting for a Director of Facilities to join our team based in Dublin City

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client account’s critical requirements and challenges
  • Ensure high-quality communication and reporting both internally and externally.
  • Lead negotiation and pricing activities for major contracts and tenders.
  • Oversee the preparation of pricing proposals, project quotations, and tender submissions, including delegation and quality checks on FM bids.
  • Identify opportunities within the existing client base to drive retention, satisfaction, and growth.
  • Provide strategic leadership to operational teams, ensuring effective managemenT
  • Promote cross-departmental communication and collaboration to strengthen service delivery.
  • Identify, develop, and implement necessary internal and external policies, procedures, and terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, Health & Safety regulations, and all relevant company legislation.
  • Drive operational efficiency by implementing streamlined work methods, innovative solutions, and high-performance work practices.
  • Set and influence operational culture in line with company values
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for FM Ireland operations in partnership with the commercial team.
  • Ensure Prepare annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
  • Deliver monthly performance reports to the Financial Controller on project progress and financial status.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction within the FM business.
  • Ensure delivery on ambitious sales, revenue, and performance targets.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities to support business growth.
  • Lead, motivate, and set direction for Facility Management teams.
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication across all teams and offer support where needed.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews within the division.
  • Partner with HR on recruitment, employee relations, and other HR-related matters as required.
  • Drive training, development, and succession planning initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative environment that enables teams to thrive and achieve strategic company targets.
  • Provide performance metrics and reporting for each client account
  • Develop effective governance structures and ensure clear communication channels across operational teams.
  • Proactively grow and develop the Facilities Management offerings

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years working at Director level essential.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Facility Management industry.
  • Minimum 4 years experience of managing director level employees.
  • Minimum 4 years experience of managing cost centres.
  • Experience in formulating the business case and forming a successful cost centre.
  • Experience in delivering M&A integration across multiple departments.
  • To have effectively bid and won a domestic IRL contract and expanded it into multi jurisdiction ICC contract. Experience in bidding and delivering multi-country tenders.
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite.
  • Full clean driving licence.
