We are looking for a full time Maintenance Officer to join our team in Galway
shift Pattern Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00
Main Duties and requirements:
To undertake daily maintenance duties of the building/buildings in line with Health & Safety Standards. The Maintenance person will work within a team to ensure that the building is kept to the highest standards
- Moving furniture, painting
- Always attend to facility requests.
- Stock the facility with all required items
- Maintain all fixtures and appliances.
- Monitor and manage all equipment within the facility, ensuring all inspections and maintenance are up to date.
- Ensure the tools are kept in good condition.
- Inform the Senior Manager of any issues within the building.
- May provide basic information on facilities.
- Undertake other routine tasks such as hosing down the forecourt and dealing with recycling.
- Ensure all repairs are attended most quickly to avoid disruption for the facility.
- Manage subcontractors if/when required and all the work that needs to be completed.
- Undertake any other duties as requested.
Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of English
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Flexible to a certain extent
- Full clean driving licence

Dominique has been part of Apleona for 19 years and has built an impressive career during that time. He has progressed from project manager to deputy head of department and now heads the facilities management division at the Cologne site. He has now been working as an in-house technician at Apleona for seven years and, with great dedication, ensures that the systems run smoothly. Whether it’s maintenance, repairs or solving unexpected problems, Patrick is always on hand to keep everything running. What does he particularly like about Apleona? The strong team spirit. “We’re a well-oiled team. When it matters, everyone can rely on one another.” For him, spontaneity is part of the job, just like the regular exchanges with colleagues from other departments, which constantly give him fresh inspiration. Patrick stays active in his spare time too, though not with tools, but with a green thumb. His garden is his personal oasis, where he enjoys every spare minute in the fresh air. His property in Berlin and his work at Apleona? Highly recommended!
Passion meets success!
Since June 2023, he has been supporting one of our largest client sites in Berlin as a project coordinator. Tim originally joined us through a temporary employment agency as a plant mechanic. But it soon became clear: he was a permanent fixture in the team! “The friendly atmosphere and professional camaraderie won me over straight away,” he says. Today, he is taking on more and more responsibility and is also working towards his master craftsman’s qualification. Tim embodies what Apleona is all about: team spirit, commitment and the desire to develop further.
